Geography

Intent Statement

At Hampton Hill Junior School, we are committed to fostering an enthusiasm for Geography. We aim to inspire curiosity and fascination about the world whilst developing pupils' understanding of their place within it - promoting global citizenship. Children's understanding of place, culture and traditions progresses from the immediate locality, building to the global community. Pupils are taught the physical and human processes of Geography and have opportunities to use mapping and fieldwork skills to support making comparisons and contrasts of our diverse world. They then use this knowledge to investigate how these processes impact changes to our planet over time.
